Back in 2014, I created a site about alternative and outdoor travel called Travel Outlandish. It took me all over – from the Bolivian desert to the crowded alleyways of Hanoi – and I got to partner with dozens of local tour operators, boutique hotels, community organizations, and small businesses to photograph and write about what they do.
What I found is that many businesses that offer great in-person experiences don’t have a great online presence. Simple upgrades like a modern website, bold copy, and high-resolution images can change everything for a small business trying to stand out online.
Like all good entrepreneurial ventures, More Outlandish is a side project that blew up. It’s an extension of what I know, who I know, and how we can best create the kind of world we want to live in. Today, we help creative and community-based businesses look really good online.
